Lantern Walk at Queenswood
On 21 December a crowd will gather at Queenswood Country Park near Leominster at around 4.30 in the afternoon. It will be dark and it may be cold or wet, but these people will be determined to walk together to the look-out point. They will be carrying special lanterns, lit in memory of all those they love who have died.Children and families, older people and couples, all will share this special time together, which is organised by Phoenix Bereavement Support. All are very welcome, says Linda Jones, Chair of the organisation. Its not a fundraising event, its a chance for people who might otherwise feel very alone with their grief at Christmas to know that there are many others like them. To reserve your lantern please call us on 01432264555 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
The Annual Lantern Walk is open to all. It's a short walk, lit up by beautiful lanterns in the darkness of the woods, and as part of the event there will be a few moments silence to remember those we love. If you would like to come along, or you would like a lantern to hang in the trees in memory of someone you love even if you can't be there, please ring the office on 01432 264555. Lanterns can be reserved for a donation of £5 each. We look forward very much to seeing you there.
